Ham
Oh dearest ham, oh so tender and sweet
Your juices flow and make my stomach yearn
How I wish to gnaw on your chewy meat
Alas! Hot as you are, my tongue would burn
Your pink slices, so thick, neat and clean
Salty, smoky, sometimes a little bit sweet
Flesh from the pig, a creature not quite lean
Varying greatly from the smell of raw feet
Sandwiches and pizzas, so versatile
Broiled, grilled, roasted, it doesn't matter
Calories galore, I'll need to walk twelve miles
Served nice and neat on a large silver platter
Neither lamb nor spam, or sweet berry jam
No, it is my beloved juicy ham
